An ACCESS PROGRAM IN OUR ACCESS TO EXCELLENCE CONTINUUM
The Minnesota Academy of Science (MAS) continuum of K-12 STEM research programming (Access to Excellence) begins with FORSE. This promising new program, now in its third year, provides pathways for student populations traditionally underrepresented in STEM fields to participate in science fair.
Our state STEM competitions and showcases are very special culminating activities where young people have the opportunity to widen their network of like-minded peers and find access to experiences and connections that encourage their commitment to STEM. These activities provide students with the tools and confidence they need to achieve their goals. FORSE is helping ensure that the opportunity to participate in these activities is available to all Minnesota students.
Through FORSE, we connect students with STEM graduate students and professionals and provide needed resources while they develop their research and prepare for presentation and/or competition.
MAS is currently seeking eligible student participants and mentors to enroll in FORSE through schools, after-school programs, and STEM youth groups.
