SCIENCE BOWL REGISTRATION

Registration for the 2027 Minnesota Science Bowls will open in October. Here’s all the info about how to register your school and to pay your registration fees.

ONLINE TEAM REGISTRATION

Coaches must register their school on the National Science Bowl website. Final registration deadlines, including player info and authorization forms:

High School: Friday, December 11, 2026
Middle School: Friday, January 15, 2027

The first step is to register your school. (See the National SB Coach Registration Guide). After your school is approved, you will receive instructions on how to enter student details and send consent/media release forms to parents/delegates for electronic signature. You will also use your online NSB account to complete your own registration form.

Submit student information and media release forms for each team. Your school’s Team 1 can be approved immediately. If your school wants to enter a Team 2 and/or Team 3, you can enter that information too, although Team 2/Team 3 will not be approved until after MAS knows how many different schools have registered (Dec. 11 for high school, Jan. 15 for middle school). It is likely that there will be room for all teams, but if necessary, second and third teams will be selected via a lottery system.

PAYMENT

Schools may pay via credit card, PayPal, or check. Fee waivers or reductions are available (see below).

High School = $300 per team

Middle School = $250 per team

Refund / Cancellation Policy

Refunds or cancellations must be requested by email two weeks prior to the event. Refunds will not be given after that date unless there are extenuating circumstances. Requests based on extenuating circumstances must be made by email to the Science Bowl Manager before the program start date. No refunds will be given for late fees.
