The Seagate Excellence in Science Mentoring Award recognizes outstanding educators from around the state who mentor students with their science fair projects and who find creative ways to nurture students’ interest in scientific research and discovery. Seagate Technology gives two awards – one for a mentor with less than 10 years of teaching STEM and another for a mentor with 11 or more years of experience. Award recipients receive a $1,000 cash award, a plaque, and a Seagate portable hard drive. The mentors’ school also gets a $1,000 cash award and a plaque for their showcase.

Individuals can be nominated by students, parents, administrators, fellow educators, and other science community members/STEM industries & organizations (self-nominations are not accepted). Please see the nomination form below for details. The selection committee prefers at least two nominations, so pass this form along to your classmates, parents, and other teachers.
