March 16, 2018, 5pm – Priority registration / abstract submission deadline for students

April 2, 2018, 5pm - Late registration / abstract submission deadline for students

April 16, 2018, 5pm – Final registration deadline for advisors, volunteers, guests, and judges 

Students who complete registration or submit abstracts after March 16 at 5pm will be charged a late fee of $10. This is to encourage students to complete their registration on time to allow adequate time for the Planning Committee to compile the program booklet and journal of abstracts. Because other attendees are not included in the program or the journal, they have a later registration deadline.

*Students who register or submit abstracts after March 16 will be charged a late fee of $10.

Volunteers, speakers, and judges who assist with symposium programming do not pay a registration fee.

Registration Information

Each attendee must register individually. The system cannot process mass registrations from institutions. 

You must complete all registration questions in one sitting, as the system does not save work in progress, only completed applications.

Students:  If you think your institution is paying your registration fee, be sure to verify this in advance. When you register, you must provide the name, title and email address of the person who approved payment. If you or your advisor is a member of the American Chemical Society (ACS) and your research is in chemistry or biochemistry, ACS will pay for your registration if you are one of the first seven students to register from your institution! BUT YOU NEED TO SELECT THE ACS SCHOLARSHIP OPTION. Please check with your advisor whether your department or ACS should be invoiced before you register. If neither your institution nor ACS is paying your fee, please be prepared to pay $75 when you register.

A $10 late fee will apply to all registrations completed after March 16 at 5:00pm.

Student Participants:  Be sure to have the following information ready when you register.

your advisor's name and email address

whether you'll be doing an oral or poster presentation

your presentation title and abstract (250 words max.)

Please be aware that by participating in a Minnesota Academy of Science sponsored event, you are automatically authorizing the Minnesota Academy of Science and its staff, agents, assignees, and affiliates to use, reproduce, and/or publish photographs and/or videos that include your image, likeness, or voice without compensation.

This material will become the property of the Minnesota Academy of Science and may be used online and in various print publications. This material will only be used for lawful purposes, including publicizing the Minnesota Academy of Science and its programs. Refund And Cancellation Policy

Refunds or cancellations must be requested in writing by emailing laramaupin@mnmas.org two weeks prior to the event. Refunds will not be given after that date unless there are extenuating circumstances. Requests based on extenuating circumstances must be made in writing by emailing laramaupin@mnmas.org before the program start date. No refunds will be given for late fees.
